Gas and electric bills too high? The Neighborhood Energy Connection and Xcel Energy bring energy efficiency to your door 
with the Home Energy Squad, a skilled crew that will make your home more comfortable and reduce your utility bills in one easy visit.The first step is to attend a FREE workshop on saving energy and money in your home. Next, you schedule a home visit where the Home Energy Squad will install the energy-saving devices and identify where the energy dollars are leaking out of your home all for only a $30 co-pay.
You choose which improvements to make, and they’ll install them on the spot--products like great-looking, energy-efficient lights, showerheads, door weather-stripping, and programmable thermostats. We'll also recommend next steps for bigger energy savings.
These items save an average of $190 annually on energy bills. You pay a simple low cost of $30 for the materials. Thanks to Xcel Energy, labor costs are free. You’ll start saving energy immediately—and get a quick payback, too. If you can't attend the workshop, you can still take advantage of the program for an additional $5 by calling 651-328-6220 to schedule a visit.

The St. Anthony Community Council is promoting home energy conservation in our neighborhood with the Energy Challenge Grant received from the City of Saint Paul, funded by the US Department of Energy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Funding also provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.
