Hampden Park

After many years of community process, a master plan for Hampden Park has been passed! The bioinfiltration swale and the Raymond improvements will be constructed in 2012, pending receipt of funding from CIB, CRWD, and potentially STAR grant dollars.

Design Process

The text and information below are from 2007.  This information is posted for historical interest only and the plans are not currently being proposed.  New information will be presented on November 10, 2009.  We do not have plans we can post at this time.  They will be posted at a later date.

The Metropolitan Design Center prepared 3 initial concepts for the environment committee based on the feedback of the public input surveys completed in October. These are meant to be starting points for discussion and feedback only, not final options. You can see the statistical survey results here and the survey feedback that was less quantifiable here. The surveys were done on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being most favorable or important and 5 being least favorable or least important.

Over 30 people attended the community forum where the environment committee presented the designs on November 7th. Here are the notes from that meeting. If you couldn't make it, please look over the designs and send feedback on what elements you do and don't like in the each design.
