Understanding Industrial Zoning Code Amendments Forum
Several District Councils have partnered to put together a community forum on the upcoming proposed changes to zoning code around industrial parcels. These changes have the potential to dramatically affect St. Anthony Park, as we have the largest contiguous area of industrial land in the city. The forum will include a review of industrial zoning history and proposed changes from City staff, a good amount of time for conversation and question and answer, and an action steps component at the end so you will know how to comment on the proposed changes in the future.
Forum location: Carpenters’ Union Offices 710 Olive Street, 55130 (Bus #71)
Starling
Starling is an exciting project happening in the South St. Anthony Creative Enterprise Zone. Check out the article about it.
The balance - north and south
According to the latest census data, there are approximately 3750 people living in North St. Anthony (north of Energy Park Drive) and approximately 3038 living in South St. Anthony. Numbers aren't exact because some of the block data didn't quite fit our boundaries. For more information, go to Minnesota Compass.

Port Authority Owned Pelham Site Update

Update as of 10/12/11: The City Council approved Union Park's appeal and denied the site plan for the 650 Pelham Site from Industrial Equities. We will continue providing updates on the future of the site as new plans arise. Thanks to all who attended the appeal public hearings and otherwise provided testimony.
