Motorists once again have access from northbound Highway 280 to eastbound Larpenteur Avenue and from westbound Larpenteur Avenue to northbound Highway 280 in Lauderdale. The ramps opened at 5 a.m. today.
The Larpenteur Avenue bridge remains under construction and motorists cannot cross the bridge in either direction. The ramps on the west side of the highway will remain closed for approximately one more month.
Southbound traffic also remains in a single lane between the junction of I-35W/Highway 36/ Highway 280 and Como Avenue until mid-September during sanitary sewer work carried out by the city of Roseville. Work on a new signal system at Highway 280 and Broadway Street will begin in early October after the sewer system project and the bridge work is completed.
Reconstruction of the Larpenteur Avenue bridge and railroad bridge west of Highway 280 is expected to be complete by the end of October.
Drivers should use alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays. For statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.mndot.gov or call 511 or log ontowww.511mn.org.
