If you don't have a backyard compost pile, here is a good option for sending your pumpkins back into the nutrient stream:

Ramsey County Yard Waste sites (compost) are accepting pumpkins (without candles) as well as corn stalks, straw and hay from seasonal displays.  The closest Yard Waste site is at Pierce Butler/Transfer Rd and open from Monday, Wednesday, & Friday | 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, Saturday | 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Sunday | 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.
