MidCity Fest Celebrates University/280 Neighborhood August 6 - 8--FREE event features 25 participating venues and live entertainment
The University and Highway 280 neighborhood will open its doors to the public from 5:00 pm on Friday, August 6 to 5:00 pm Sunday, August 8. Twenty-five businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals will be showcasing their venues and talents by offering tours, specials and exhibits over the course of the weekend.
Free live music and arts entertainment is scheduled at the Lyric At Carleton Place outdoor amphitheater (University & Hampden) from 6 - 9 pm on Friday, August 6 and from Noon - 9 pm, Saturday, August 7. In addition, t-shirts featuring the new MidCity logo and tagline for the neighborhood, ‘It's More Fun in the Middle' will be given to the first 300 persons who take pictures of themselves participating in MidCity Fest. To earn a free t-shirt, participants simply take a picture of themselves at three participating venues and present it at the Lyric venue.
