Why This Forum Matters
With a special election scheduled for August 12, 2025, this nonpartisan forum is a timely opportunity for Ward 4 residents to hear directly from candidates hoping to represent one of St. Paul’s most diverse and dynamic wards. The City Council seat became vacant earlier this year following a resignation, prompting a special election to fill the remainder of the term.
This forum centers two of our community’s most urgent priorities:
- Affordable Housing: Addressing rising rents, housing shortages, and homelessness.
- Immigrant Inclusion: Understanding how policy impacts our neighbors from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Forum Agenda
- 5:30 – 6:00 PM | Doors Open & Resource Tables: Meet the candidates and sponsors, grab materials, and settle in.
- 6:00 – 7:30 PM | Candidate Forum: Moderated by John Slade of MICAH. Questions from sponsors and attendees.
- 7:30 – 8:00 PM | Informal Meet & Mingle: Stay to connect with neighbors and candidates in the gathering space.
