What’s Happening
Nothing fancy – just neighbors, sunshine, live music, activities, and free ice cream from our neighborhood’s own Parkview Ice Cream! Drop by Hampden Park anytime between 2-4 PM to relax, grab some ice cream, and connect with others in St. Anthony Park.
SAPCC committees will be there to share what they’re working on, hear from neighbors, and talk about what’s happening throughout the community.
You’ll also find local organizations and community resources, crafts with The Makery, live music from Rob Stokes, and plenty of time to simply enjoy the park.
Bring a neighbor, bring your ideas, or just bring your sweet tooth. This event is free and open to all!
Meet the SAPCC Committees
Each of our four volunteer committees will be at the Ice Cream Social – ready to share what they’re working on and hear your ideas:
- Equity Committee – Builds connections and works to make sure all neighbors, especially renters, families, and new immigrants, have a voice in shaping our community.
- Environment Committee – Maintains community rain gardens, addresses environmental and park issues, and coordinates large projects like the annual Kasota Ponds cleanup.
- Transportation Committee – Focuses on pedestrian-safe streets, cycling improvements, transit access, and long-term infrastructure planning in the neighborhood.
- Land Use Committee – Reviews development projects, supports neighborhood design standards, and helps shape how land is used in St. Anthony Park.
Stop by and talk with committee members – your input helps guide the work we do together in St. Anthony Park.
Music, Activities & Community
Come for the ice cream and stay for a relaxed afternoon with neighbors! Along with SAPCC committees, you’ll find:
- Free ice cream from Parkview Ice Cream
- Live music from Rob Stokes
- Crafts with The Makery
- Local organizations and community resources
- Special guests from the neighborhood and community
- Plenty of time to relax, meet neighbors, and enjoy Hampden Park
There’s no formal program and no need to stay for the whole event. Stop by anytime between 2-4 PM, grab some ice cream, and enjoy the afternoon!
Ice Cream from Right Here in the Neighborhood
This year’s ice cream is coming from Parkview Ice Cream, located right across from Hampden Park at 898 Raymond Ave.
Parkview is a locally owned neighborhood ice cream shop serving Minnesota-made Bridgeman’s ice cream just steps from the park. We’re excited to feature a St. Anthony Park small business at this year’s Ice Cream Social.
Whether you discover a new favorite flavor at the Social or stop in another day after a visit to Hampden Park, we hope you’ll get to know this neighborhood shop.
