With the exponential growth our community continues to experience, we keep seeing developments pop up in the neighborhood. While SAPCC doesn’t hear from all developers building in our neighborhood, we do get to hear about projects that require a zoning change or a conditional use permit from the City. SAPCC’s Land Use Committee hears from those developers at their monthly committee meetings (first Thursday of the month at 7:00pm at Jennings Community Learning Center) and discusses the proposal based on a series of Development Guidelines.

Most recently, Dominium has been working on two projects in our neighborhood. At the intersection of Hampden and Territorial, Dominium developers have proposed a 216 unit, four story building that serves people at 60% of that local area median income. Dominium has begun working with members of our Land Use Committee to collaborate on plans for that site. They also recently purchased the Weyerhaeuser site just off the West Gate station in South St. Anthony Park. Representatives from Dominium plan to come to a Land Use meeting in the coming months. You can read about the upcoming agenda items a few days before the meeting every month on our events page. Read more about the project here.
