After two years of outstanding service, SAPCC bids a warm thank-you to Lucid Thomas, who has served as the organization’s Renter Outreach Coordinator. Lucid will soon move on to the East Side Freedom Library (eastsidefreedomlibrary.org), and while we’ll miss him deeply, his impact will stay with us for years to come.
During his time with SAPCC, Lucid helped renters find their voice and their place in the community. He led outreach across District 12 – hosting renter forums, guiding activities at the Westgate Commons Park Summer Activation Program, and playing an integral role in community meals, the Hampden Park Ice Cream Social, and other neighborhood events. Whether leading a discussion or chatting with neighbors, he had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome.
SAPCC Executive Director Zev Radziwill reflected, “Lucid brought heart and purpose to everything he did. He built trust with renters, helped neighbors feel seen, and reminded all of us what community really means.”
Treasurer and Equity Committee Member John Maurer added, “Lucid’s warmth and optimism turned outreach into connection. He leaves behind not just programs, but relationships – and that’s the true measure of his work.”
Lucid’s laughter, openness, and dedication have shaped SAPCC in lasting ways. We wish him every success in what comes next – and thank him for helping make this community stronger, kinder, and more connected.
