The St. Anthony Park Community Council (SAPCC) is expanding its Luther Campus Task Force to address the future of both the Lower Campus property at 1501 Fulham Street and the newly announced Upper Campus property. This expansion follows the news that Luther Seminary is selling the upper campus, making it available for potential development in 2027-28.

As of now, Lifestyle Communities has a purchase agreement for the Lower Campus, with development expected to begin in 2026-27. With the upper campus now also being sold, SAPCC is adjusting the task force’s mission to ensure both properties are handled with community input.

“We’re excited to bring together a task force that will work on shaping the future of these critical sites in our neighborhood,” said Zev Radziwill, Executive Director of SAPCC. “This is an opportunity for neighbors to get involved in planning and have a say in how these spaces evolve.”

The task force will continue to engage with Lifestyle Communities on the Lower Campus but will now also focus on gathering community feedback for the Upper Campus. The expanded task force will ensure that the development of both sites respects the character and needs of the community.

“We want to ensure that as development moves forward, the voices of St. Anthony Park residents are heard and considered,” said Kenny Niemeyer, Co-Chair of SAPCC’s Land Use Committee. “This is an opportunity for us to guide the redevelopment process and make sure it reflects the needs and desires of the neighborhood.”

Tom Ososki, Co-Chair of the Land Use Committee, also emphasized the importance of staying involved in these discussions: “We encourage all neighbors to get involved, whether that’s through joining the task force or attending our monthly Land Use Committee meetings. It’s essential that these developments happen in a way that aligns with the values of our community.”
